Amanda Holden is furious after she was accused of demanding celebrity treatment over an online shopping order.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge shared her communication with a tile company when they refused to refund her for sending out what she claims was the incorrect box of tiles.

Holden, 48, tweeted: “Well What a useless company. Dont usually name & shame but this reply wound me up!! I’m no [princess] & hate the word celebrity-didn’t ask for special anything BUT the order is under my name.I don’t expect any special service. JUST a SERVICE would be good. [sic]”

The actress and TV presenter complained to customer services she had already booked a builder to fit the tiles, but when they arrived they were not the ones she had ordered.

She continued her rant on Instagram, saying: “I’m so cross that applebys-tiles.co.uk seem to have no proper customer service. Firstly The order was under my name. We didn’t ask for a special service...

“Secondly the company have admitted it was their mistake. Is this saying I have to pay for tiles that are wrong ? How is this legal? If they’ve admitted the error. And thirdly ‘Jack’ needs to learn some people skills and have a glance at the Oxford English dictionary... if there is another tiling company that could help us out I would be equally willing to big them up. As I frequently do with small British business.”

Holden posted a screen shot of her online chat with the customer services at Applebys tiles.

An advisor called Jack told her: “Unfortunately that is not how it works. We will not be refunding your order however, we can refund your shipping fees.

“Unfortunately we do not make exceptions for 'celebrity' status and all of our customers are treated the same as per our terms and conditions.

“We will happily refund you your shipping for the inconvenience.”

MailOnline claim to have seen the full transcript between Holden and Appleby's tiles and report she does not use her celebrity status to get special treatment.

Appleby's tiles stated that they advise customers to not book in builders until they have received their tiles.

The company’s online chat feature is currently offline. Yahoo UK called their customer helpline but they claim to have disabled their phones due to a high volume of calls.
