Our Farm Next Door's exciting trailer captured the challenges the Owen family face while renovating a derelict farmhouse.
Exes Amanda Owen and Clive, who said fame wrecked their 22-year marriage, have joined forces to work on a new project for a new TV series which is airing on our screens from 14 October, two years after their beloved Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm came to an end and after their split.
As well as the help of local tradespeople, the parents have got their nine children involved in the renovation: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy.
In the trailer, the children are all starting to look grown up, with fans recently saying the youngest Owens now looked unrecognisable on social media. While looking after their nine children, Amanda and Clive's split has been amicable.
The trailer teased a glimpse of what is to come from the wholesome series as the family get to work on restoring the farmhouse - known locally as Anty John’s - in a remote location. In the voiceover, the narrator said: "Amanda, Clive and their nine kids are embarking on an epic journey turning a derelict farm into a new home in the middle of rural Yorkshire Dales."

Our Farm Next Door filming challenges
There was a hint at some of the challenges faced by the family. The Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda said in a piece to camera: "Conditions are just, they're just vile." Filming over four seasons, it's expected that the family will have faced some tough weather conditions especially in the winter months.
Previously, Amanda had spoken about the challenge of filming in the bad weather. She said: "It is no exaggeration to say that filming outdoors on an exposed hill end in Swaledale was at times a huge challenge for the Wise Owl film crew, but their dedication and enthusiasm has never waned. This new project has been a huge undertaking for the whole family and one we are excited to be able to share with the viewers at home."
Amanda Owen's family's happy moments
As well as the hardship, the trailer revealed some of the most rewarding moments including the children helping with the birth of the lambs. Previously the sheep farmer has hailed lambing season as a time for new beginnings, despite its demands. "Wow," one of the children could be heard saying.
Also in the trailer, the whole family got great joy out of discovering a bird's nest. "Can you shine a light in it Reuben, see if anyone is home?" Amanda asked her son while the family watched on in awe.
Additionally, the Owen family could be seen having fantastic fun sledging down the snow-covered hills in the Yorkshire Dales. "Ain't it lovely?" Amanda could be heard asking her children while they're exploring the outdoors together. While the children may be young, they could be seen getting stuck into the renovation work too.
Fans will be delighted to have the famous family back on our screens after two years away. The family first found fame on ITV's The Dales back in 2011.
Behind the scenes of the show, executive producer for Wise Owl Films Mark Robinson shared some insight on bringing the show to life. He said: "Filmed over two years, this is the incredible past and present tale of a house with an important and fascinating history brought lovingly back to life by a family who are Yorkshire Dales through and through. We have been privileged to watch the rebirth of ‘Anty John’s’ tile by tile, stone by stone, across all four seasons in a beautiful but unforgiving location where that painstaking work has often been at the mercy of the elements."
Watch Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids on More4 from Monday 14 October at 9pm. It will be available to stream on Channel 4.
