AMAs 2015: Charlie Puth And Meghan Trainor ‘Marvin Gaye’ And Get It On

Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor quite literally ‘Marvin Gaye’-d and got it on after their performance at the 2015 American Music Awards.

After delivering a stellar rendition of their collaboration, they puckered up and went in for one heck of snog - but if you’re wondering, they’re JUST FRIENDS.

Maybe they just wanted to know what each other had for dinner, alright?

Meghan started by singing her song ‘Like I’m Gonna Lose You’, before taking off her coat to reveal her gorgeous dress and switching things up with ‘Marvin Gaye’.

With Charlie on piano, the two produced an amazing performance, making us swoon all over the shop.

As promised to PEOPLE on the red carpet (where Charlie admitted there would be ‘a lot of making out’ when he took to the stage), the two then shared a steamy make-out session at the end of their performance.

Somebody get the audience some fans and maybe a cold towel. Might want to send one Charlie and Meghan’s way, too.

Charlie has since taken to Twitter to put a stop to any romance speculation before it goes crazy, writing: “before it begins…we are just friends. so happy to preform with meghan tonight!! thank you for all the love everybody! :) [sic]”.

Posting a photo of the kiss on Instagram, Meghan added: “All about dat ass grab doe @charlieputh proud of you Charlie #imsingle.”

Charlie also spoke about the heated moment backstage at the awards, saying: “There was a lot of making out. The dancers were making out and I’m sure some of the other dancers were making out. I think that’s it though.

“We’re friends and it’s all part of my whole vision when I made ‘Marvin Gaye,’ for people to hear the record and spontaneously make out with each other. That was the goal tonight for the live show.”
