The 'amazing' Coventry highway pub you probably drive past all the time
Along Coventry’s outer ring road, everyone knows the slow bits - one of them being by the lights at Kenilworth Road. Doesn’t matter the day or weather, it’ll more than likely have a queue than not.
All this means that there’s plenty of time to stare out the window and take in the scenery. And right beside the highway is a quite inconspicuous pub.
With its ample parking, well received food, and its location right on the route between Rugby and Birmingham, could this be an alternative to your usual drive-thrus? It’s off to a good start given how popular the pub is clearly popular with the locals.

“The service was fantastic, really friendly! The food was great and very reasonably priced. The drinks were amazing. We tried half the cocktail menu as there was an offer on with two for £12.50. Will be here again!”

The menu offers all your classic staples, with a variety of meats for sunday roast, including beef, gammon, and chicken. It also includes all the standard favourites like fish and chips, lasagne, and shepherds pie.

The overall sentiment from visitors is that the pub offers service you’d expect. Nothing extravagant, nothing appalling. Just the sheer pleasure of a pub treating its customers as it should. So if you’re on the A45 and aren’t in the mood for the drive-thru queue, the Burnt Post might be a nice way to break up the journey.
