Amazing pictures show adrenaline junkie tackling high wire above BBC studio in central London

This was the hair-raising moment an extreme adrenaline-junkie took on a high wire suspended above the BBC’s Broadcasting House in central London.

Passers-by looked up on awe as the bare-footed man slowly traversed the rope, with a concrete piazza below.

At one point he stopped to take in his stunning panoramic view of London, before hanging nonchalantly in mid-air.

The stunt was carried out by extreme sports group The Flying Frenchies, who star in a new film about the death-defying sport.

They are due to appear on the One Show this evening to promote The Free Man.

The extreme documentary, directed by Toa Fraser, follows New Zealand Olympic freestyle skier Jossi Wells as he takes up new extreme sports. It was shot mainly in France and New Zealand.

The Free Man was made available for digital download on April 10 and on DVD on April 24.
