The retail giant is reportedly inviting third-party sellers to submit their lightning deals – short, time-limited promotional discounts – for an event it’s calling the “Prime Fall Deal Event”. We’ve reached out to Amazon for a comment, but are yet to hear back.

In the interim, read our explainer to find out more about the second Prime Day:

These Apple products have rare savings thanks to pre-Prime Day sale

Wednesday 6 July 2022 13:05 , Eva Waite-Taylor

While it’s difficult to know the exact Apple devices that will be reduced this Prime Day – Amazon keeps most of its deals hush-hush until the big day itself – we’re expecting that AirPods, Apple Watches, iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, and more will receive a healthy discount.

Luckily for those that can’t wait for the two-day shopping bonanza, we’re already seeing some early deals that are worth shouting so we thought we’d share some here:

Save almost 20 per cent on a four-pack of Apple’s clever AirTag possession trackers. Using a Bluetooth connection to your iPhone, these will help you locate lost items they are attached to and can even use the location of millions of other iPhones to help you track down dropped keys or a misplaced bag. Olaplex no.7 bonding oil just £18 in pre-Prime Day deal

Wednesday 6 July 2022 12:50 , Eva Waite-Taylor

Not all haircare brands are made equal, and there’s one that stands out from the rest, and it’s of course Olaplex. The brand’s products work, but naturally, they don’t come cheap. Ahead of Prime Day, Amazon has slashed the price of one of our favourite hair oils.

Olaplex No.7 bonding oil: Was £36, now £17.46, Amazon.co.uk

 (Amazon)
(Amazon)

When we reviewed the brand’s entire range, we noticed serious improvements in our lack-lustre locks. And its bonding oil was a firm favourite. Our writer noted that despite its “lightweight formula, it is very nourishing and didn’t leave our hair feeling heavy or greasy”. The “other great thing about the bonding oil is that it provides up to 230C heat protection, as such, it’s great to use before using heat on your hair”, they added. A little goes a long way, so you’ll unlikely make a dent in the bottle until you’re many months down the line.
