You’ve heard it before: Single-use plastic bags are bad for the environment. States like New York, Vermont and California have even banned them. However, there are much better ways to tote your goods — especially your groceries — back home.

That’s where the Lotus Trolley Bags come in. They make organizing your groceries in the shopping cart and in the trunk of your car super easy. (Not to mention, keeps them from rolling around your trunk like loose change.) They’re especially great for grocery stores with mobile self-checkout because you can pack your groceries as you shop and save yourself even more time.

The Lotus Trolley Bags are lightweight, yet extremely durable, reusable grocery bags, sold in a set of four. One is an insulated bag for keeping your frozen food and other perishables cold for up to four hours, while another bag has egg and wine pockets to prevent those, and other fragile items, from breaking.

Each bag has removable poles for standing them up in the average-sized shopping cart at Walmart, Whole Foods, Kroger, Publix and more. Once you’re done shopping, the bags have long handles for placing them in the trunk or carrying them into the house.

And, when you’re done using them, the bags roll up into one convenient pack. They’re also machine washable and can be wiped down with disinfectant in between uses.

The Lotus Trolley Bags have garnered 3,600 five-star reviews on Amazon, with one reviewer calling them a “godsend.”

“These are fabulous,” wrote another Amazon reviewer. “They’re especially convenient if your grocery store, like ours, is offering handheld devices to scan items as you go. We scan our groceries and pack them as we move through the store, then check out at the self-checkout lane without having to unpack the bags.”

When you want to spend the least amount of time at the grocery store, organization is key. Plus, if sustainability is your thing, Lotus also makes mesh produce bags you can shop on Amazon.
