Amazon has slashed the price of one of its top tablets, offering a deal that's hard to ignore. The retail giant has rolled out the Fire Max 11 tablet for just £100.99, a significant drop from the standard £224.99.

The caveat here is that the tablet is refurbished, not brand new. However, refurbished items can be an excellent way to snag a bargain without compromising on quality - and this tablet proves that point.

Amazon guarantees that the tablets have been rigorously tested and updated, ensuring customers receive a product they can trust. Plus, Amazon provides the option to return the item if it doesn't meet your satisfaction.

The tablet boasts 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and up to 14 hours of battery life. It's worth noting that this model comes with ads, displaying sponsored screensavers on the lock screen and in sleep mode, reports the Express.

Customers have praised the tablet highly. One reviewer enthused: "Responsive screen, great battery life, high quality display, excellent WIFI reception which is excellent online browsing or streaming and great sound. The pen adds even more options to an already feature packed device. Grab one guys, you won't be disappointed."

However, some users have expressed frustration with the limited app compatibility. One reviewer commented: "The biggest issue is the lack of Google play. Not all the Amazon apps are as good as the actual android apps in the Google play store. You also have some key ones missing - such as popular mobile games, a proper YouTube app, Facebook messenger etc. You can install Google play store unofficially (plenty of websites explaining how)... But not all apps will work or not work properly."

You can pick up the refurbished Fire Max 11 for £100.99 at Amazon. If you're looking for a more powerful tablet, consider the Samsung Galaxy S9 FE, available for £449, which comes with a free S Pen and extra power. Alternatively, Argos offers the Lenovo M10 3rd Gen 10.1 tablet for £169.99.
