Amazon Van Raided as Santa Monica Issues Curfew Following Looting

Looters targeted downtown stores during protests against police violence in Santa Monica, California, on May 31, following the death of George Floyd, according to the Santa Monica Daily Press.

ABC7 reported Santa Monica authorities issued a 4 pm curfew after looting happened just blocks away from a large protest on Montana Avenue, with “dozens of people seen taking merchandise from stores in the shopping district” and a number of fires lit in the city.
