Amazon's audiobook service launches new feature that lets you skip right to the naughtiest bits of a romance novel

Amazon’s audiobook service Audible has launched a new feature that allows listeners to skip straight to the sauciest bits of romance novels.

The ‘Take Me To The Good Part’ feature uses an algorithm to scan for keywords linked to specific moments that can range from sex scenes to proposals.

Apparently the algorithm, which was developed from user habits and tastes, highlights scenes in 10 categories, including ‘sexual tension’, ‘first kiss’ and ‘proposal’.

Audible has reportedly said a book is likely to feature five or six scenes that fit into the 10 categories.

That means people can choose which kind of scene they want to skip to, whether they want the raciest scenes or the initial flushes of romance.

According to The Verge, ‘Take Me To The Good Part’ is one of several special features that come with ‘Audible Romance’, alongside a ‘steaminess’ score that lets subscribers filter books by their graphic content.

Audible Romance, which is being launched in the US, will also apparently allow readers to get through as many books as they like, rather than the normal service which allows subscribers one audiobook a month as standard.
