The first trailer for Daisy Jones & The Six TV series is finally here

If there's anything we love more than delving into a good novel, it's getting stuck into a juicy TV book adaptation. And there's an exciting new series coming your way in the form of Prime Video's Daisy Jones & The Six.

The new series is based on author Taylor Jenkins Reid's book of the same name, with the writer also penning The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (which is getting its own film too!). And there are some big names behind this one: Reese Witherspoon selected Daisy Jones & The Six for her book club back in 2019 - going on to buy the rights to a 12-episode limited series via her production company, Hello Sunshine, and Amazon Studios.

The upcoming adaptation is said to be a live-action rock series, and we can't wait to see the book's music come to life. Here's everything to know about Daisy Jones & The Six so far...

Yes! Amazon Prime has just released the first full trailer for the series today (25th January) and it looks so good! We even get a sneaky insight into the band singing Regret for the first time.

What is Daisy Jones & The Six about?

Taylor Jenkins Reid's original novel tells the story of Daisy Jones, a young singer who's paired up with rock band, The Six. The story captures the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll of the seventies, with Daisy and The Six's frontman, Billy, forced to confront their feelings for one another.

What's more, Reid revealed that Daisy Jones & The Six took inspiration from the real relationship between Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham - in a blog post written for Hello Sunshine.

When did Daisy Jones & The Six start filming?

Cast member Riley Keough confirmed the start of filming all the way back in September 2021, sharing a snap from day one on set. She wrote, "I am so so proud of how hard everyone has worked to bring this story to life."

Co-star Sam Claflin later confirmed that filming had wrapped as of May 2022, writing on Instagram, "Thank you @tjenkinsreid for bringing this story & Billy Dunne to the world. What a test it has been. The best of my life. It’s been my therapy. I so hope I make you proud."

Who is starring in Daisy Jones & The Six?

Riley Keough takes the lead role as Daisy, and she's well equipped for a stint as a rockstar. Riley is actually the real-life granddaughter of Elvis Presley and step-daughter of Michael Jackson so, yep, plenty of inspiration!

Sam Claflin also stars as Billy, and we can't wait to see these two side-by-side. Elsewhere, Suki Waterhouse is on board as keyboard player Karen Sirko, while Sebastian Chacon plays drummer Warren Rhodes.

There's also Timothy Olyphant as band manager Rod, plus actress and model (and ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio), Camilla Morrone.
