There is a "small and mighty" tablet that people say they "take everywhere" with them praising its battery life and ease of use. The Amazon Fire 7 tablet is priced at £64.99 for the seven inch display, 16 GB with ads (the 'with ads' option displays sponsored screensavers on your device's lock screen and in sleep mode).

It comes in three colours, black, navy and rose and you can get it with 32GB of space and with a cover and screen protector in Amazon's bundle deals for £107.97. It claims to have up to 10 hours of reading, browsing the web, watching videos and listening to music.

The Amazon Fire 7 promises up to 30% faster quad-core processor and twice as much RAM (2 GB) compared to previous generations and is compatible with BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Now, Facebook, Disney+, Instagram, TikTok and more through the Amazon Appstore. You can also use Zoom, Skype and Facebook Messenger, or ask Alexa to make video calls to friends and family.

It also has Amazon Kids which offers parental controls on Fire tablets. People can also subscribe to Amazon Kids+ for access to thousands of children's books, popular apps and games, videos, songs and Audible books.

The Amazon Fire 7 tablet has more than 5,000 positive reviews with many people saying they don't leave home without it. One shopper said: "I originally bought this for my mother but she found it a bit too small. I was going to send it back but thought I'd give it a go myself.

"Fell madly in love with it and now I bring it everywhere. Really love the size, fits nicely in my hand when I want to read before bed. Although I love paper books, this is the first e-reader I've loved.

"I've tried the paperwhite's etc but with this on continuous scroll, its definitely been my favourite e-reading experience so far. Battery is great as well."

Dean said: "Bought this for the wife, what a great buy. She lives it, and it goes everywhere with us. Money well spent."

Niki said: "I love this tablet. It's compact and neat and it goes everywhere with me. Very good value for money."

SJE said it was "small and mighty" and added: "This product is quite small and the actual screen is about the same size as many mobile phones even though you think its bigger because there is a blank border around the screen. I find this quite adequate for my needs as I mainly wanted it to listen to the radio in bed as my area has a poor digital radio reception. Easily held in one hand, light and portable.

"It has all the apps I need on and is fine for watching tv programmes, I don't need bells and whistles. Perfect for me, long battery life and a good price, recommended."

But some said they thought the screen was too small, one said: "The main issue for me is the screen which is low quality and the case. The power button is on the top right which means you can't get a universal case, it will press on the lower button. You need to get the Amazon brand case that's £31."

However there are other tablets on the market, such as the Android 14 Tablet, 10.1 inch with 1TB of memory for £60.99 or the HotLight Tablet 10 inch Android 14 with 64GB for £59.49.
