AMC Networks Promotes Georgia Juvelis to Chief Communications Officer
Better Call Georgia: AMC Networks has promoted longtime corp comm exec Georgia Juvelis to the role of chief communications officer. Juvelis, who had most recently served as exec VP of corporate communications, continues to report to AMC Networks CEO Kristin Dolan, who announced the news on Thursday.
“Georgia has proved to be a talented communicator and strategist throughout her tenure and a trusted advisor to me during a period of dynamic change and reinvention happening here at AMC Networks and across our industry,” Dolan said in a statement. “I’m pleased to see her step into this new role, bringing her leadership strengths and deep knowledge of our business to oversee a communications team that is helping frame our collective efforts and drive our business.”

Juvelis, who has spent 15 years at AMC Networks, adds oversight of publicity, talent relations and awards to her purview, which continues to include corporate communications, including internal communications, corporate marketing and government affairs.
Juvelis also continues to be a member of the company’s senior leadership team, where she has served for many years. The new position consolidates all communications efforts under one oversight. The streamlining comes as Dolan took over as CEO earlier this year.
Before AMC Networks, Juvelis spent time at Gemstar-TV Guide and Discovery Communications. She has served on the board of directors for The WICT Network and has been recognized by honors including Ragan Communications “Top Women in Communications – Trailblazer” award, PR Week’s “Women of Distinction” and more.
