American Horror Story boss Ryan Murphy has shared an exciting update about the forthcoming season. Every season of American Horror Story has a different theme, with the tenth season set to explore a new one.
The AHS co-creator had a countdown on his social media on Friday (March 19), leading up to the announcement the new season will be titled Double Feature.
The season will tell two separate stories, one set by the sea and one set by the sand. A brand new teaser sets the stage with an ominously-beachy vibe.
American Horror Story's previous themes include Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, Apocalypse and 1984.
Murphy previously shared an interesting update about another important part of the show – its monsters. The season 10 preview captured some scary-looking creatures wandering through a neighbourhood at night.
Returning actor Finn Wittrock has teased the new season, saying cast are just as clueless about which direction a particular series will go.
"What's fun about this show is that no two things are ever the same," he said. "It's like, 'Do you wanna come in and do this single episode or do you wanna come in and be the lead of this season?'
"Do you wanna come be a crazy psycho killer?' 'Do you wanna come in and be this relatively normal dad?' You just never know what you're gonna get."
Viewers will be pleased to know that series regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates are returning for the upcoming American Horror Story season. Another exciting announcement for season 10 is that Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin will be appearing in the new series.
