All American season 3 has promoted Chelsea Tavares to a season regular.
The CW drama, which is inspired by the life of former pro NFL player Spencer Paysinger, follows the rise of high-school football star Spencer James (Daniel Ezra).
It was confirmed to be returning for a third run earlier this year.
Deadline is now reporting Patience actress Chelsea Tavares, who has featured in the show since its inception, has been promoted to a series regular.
Tavares' character appeared in 19 episodes over the first two seasons of All American as a student at South Crenshaw and the girlfriend of Coop (Bre-Z).
Her storyline has seen her follow her dream of a music career, determined to make it on her own terms.
All American season 2 followed Spencer as he agonised over the decision whether to stay in Beverly Hills and play for Coach Billy Baker (Taye Diggs) or to move back to South LA and play for his father Corey (Chad Coleman).
All American is expected to return despite the coronavirus pandemic impacting The CW schedule.
