American students get their heads shaved in India as they 'become' Buddhist monks for short period of time

A group of American students arrives at Bodh Gaya, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India, to experience the life of a monk. During their stay, the students will receive Buddhist teachings and join special prayers at Mahabodhi temple, a site that is believed to be the location where Buddha attained enlightenment. The students, who are introduced to Buddhism according to Thai tradition, will attend Shramner, an initiation path dedicated to individuals that are interested in understanding the "dharma", the doctrine and universal truth. The American group will also perform Puja, worship rituals that focus on reflection and chanting.
