'American tourist' compares Blackpool to Vegas and gushes over its 'flying swans'
Blackpool is known in the UK for its fabulous light show and for being a fun night out.
And it seems like the word of its greatness may be travelling overseas too... kind of.
A video has been shared to X where an 'American tourist' gushes over Blackpool after 'being told to visit there'. However, we're pretty sure the whole thing may be a joke and that she could not even be American.

Nevertheless, the video has gone viral online – racking up 83,400 views – as people have been left chuckling over the girl's observations.
The clip starts with her filming herself walking through a rainy Blackpool, as she says: "All of you guys told me to visit the city of the Black Pool in Lancastershire [sic]. Apparently it's like the Vegas of the Midlands so I was really excited."
She then adds: "First I saw the Blackpool Tower, the inspo for the Eiffel Tower and also one of the tallest towers in Europe – so dope. Someone said they film Dancing with the Stars here, I love that show.
"Sadly I could not go up the tower because it was swaying in the wind, and I also didn't get to see the Blackpool Illuminati so I'll be back."
The girl then visited the arcades, adding: "So many of you guys told me to go to the arcades, these boujee British, like, casinos, I spent way too much money. Oh my God.
"I then went on the Blackpool Eye, and it was like okay but I got altitude sickness so that was not fun. But I did see so many baby flying swans and they were so pretty."
It was then time for some gift shopping and a Fruit Shoot, as she added: "The gift shops were so dope, they sell all these really sweet vases and urns and I got so drunk from these shooters, oh my God."
She finished the clip by saying: "Anyway, let me know where I should visit next in the UK."
Many people were in on the joke that it was a spoof, but were still loving the video. One person exclaimed: "This person is British, she’s putting this on entirely. And it’s brilliant." While another added: "I know it's not real but I still hate her intensely."
A third chimed in: "This is funny. Blackpool Illuminati? Brilliant! Where do I join?"
