Ammonia leak and fire sparks mass evacuation in West Midlands estate
Residents have been evacuated from their homes after a fire at an industrial estate and an ammonia leak.
West Midlands fire crews, police and ambulance service were deployed to Summerton Road, Oldbury, on Friday evening.
Residents have been advised to keep their windows and doors shut while the incident is dealt with.
West Midlands Fire Service tweeted: "We are still on Summerton Road, Oldbury, dealing with an ammonia leak. @WMPolice and @OFFICIALWMAS are in attendance.

We are dealing with an incident in the Rounds Green area of Oldbury, local residents are advised to keep windows and doors shut whilst this incident is being dealt with.

"No injuries are reported, but residents in the immediate area have been evacuated for safety."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said there was currently a fire at the industrial site.
"A number of houses are being evacuated and we're urging people to avoid the area and the residents to keep doors and windows shut," it added.
West Midlands Police urged people to avoid the area.
