Dumbest things ever said on live TV
Celebrities and public figures enjoy fame that enables them to reach out to a large audience. But often they’re caught uttering really insensitive that sometimes don’t even make sense. Here are some of the dumbest things ever said on live TV.
Paris Hilton
“Everything bad that can happen to a person has happened to me.”
In a 2011 interview with Piers Morgan, model and businesswoman Paris Hilton claimed she has been through the worst. Whosoever saw this interview or heard about it either ruptured into laughter or into flames of angst against her for making such an insensitive remark.
Elizabeth Hurley
“I’ve always thought Marilyn Monroe looked fabulous, but I’d kill myself if I was that fat.”
Taking body shaming to a whole new level, model Elizabeth Hurley commented on the iconic actress Marilyn Monroe’s size calling her “fat”. Somebody needs to tutor her on body acceptance before she goes on fat shaming every other person, dead or alive.
Senator James Inhofe
“God’s still up there. The arrogance of people to think that we human beings would be able to change what He is doing in the climate is to me outrageous.”
Senator James Inhofe clearly doesn’t know about greenhouse gases, global warming or that humans are solely responsible for it.
Farrah Abraham
“I’m pretty feminine. I think so … What does that mean, you’re a lesbian or something?”
When asked about being a feminist, this is the response porn star Farrah Abraham had. It’s a pity she is famous and is allowed to make statements like that.
Katy Perry
“I’m so obsessed with you I want to skin you and wear you like Versace.”
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Katy Perry passed a rather insensitive comment when she was discussing the Japanese people.
Justin Bieber
“Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a Belieber.”
How do you react when world’s one of the biggest popstar sensations makes a statement like this on the Jewish writer and holocaust victim Anne Frank? Bieber was recorded saying this during his visit to the Anne Frank house.
Amanda Bynes
“Chris Brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough.”
The entire world knows about the physical abuse Rihanna suffered at the hands of her then-boyfriend Chris Brown, and what an awful thing it was. But Amanda Bynes seems to think otherwise. It isn’t surprising to see her career go spiraling down.
Brooke Shields
“Smoking can kill you. And if you’re killed, you’ve lost a very important part of your life.”
In 1981, Brooke Shields was appointed as a spokeswoman for an anti-smoking campaign where she went on to make one of the dumbest statements ever made in the history.
Kim Kardashian
“I spoke to a girl today who had cancer and we were talking about how this is such a hard thing for her, but it taught her a big lesson on who her friends are and so much about life. She’s 18. And I was like, that’s how I feel.”
Cancer is a serious issue and nobody should get to make such stupid comparisons with it. Kim, you haven’t experienced anything that is even remotely close to how painful this medical condition is.
