Ferne McCann has been forced to defend herself amidst claims she’s back with her imprisoned ex-partner.

McCann, 27, was previously romantically involved with acid attacker Arthur Collins and the pair share a child, Sunday Sky, together.

However, after Collins was arrested for a nightclub acid attack in April of 2017, just days later she announced that she was pregnant and would raise their child as a single parent.

In December, Collins was sentenced to 20 years in prison and got an additional eight months after admitting to smuggling in a phone so he could contact McCann. Since then, the model and TV personality was slammed after she liked an Instagram post calling for Collins’ release.

Rumours have swirled that she’d been visiting him – most recently as part of a TV series – which are claims she vehemently denies.

McCann voiced her annoyance on Twitter, by saying there were many ‘FALSE stories’ going around.

‘For the record (again) I am not in a relationship with Arthur. I do not know how much clearer I could be about that!! Sam and I never fell out about Arthur! This is false.’

And she went on to clarify the remaining connection with her ex by saying: ‘Arthur is Sunday’s father. I have had to communicate with him and his family with respect to Sunday (mainly through lawyers).’

She also insisted that ‘Todays ‘sources’ are wrong.’

The former TOWIE and I’m A Celeb star stands by her claim that she’s only visited her ex once, which was in November, only to tell him that he’ll not be seeing her or their daughter again.

She’s also made her stance clear on Instagram, too, when setting the record straight with fans.

‘I have repeatedly made clear that I have not been back to see him in response to the press asking me about this has been ignored,’ she wrote.

‘Again and for absolute clarity, I do not in anyway condone the actions that took place in Mangle in April 2017. Nobody should be faced with violence on a night out and the victims have my fullest sympathy.’

Yahoo Celeb UK has reached out to Ferne McCann for comment.
