Jurgen Klopp has reportedly missed out on one of his top targets while Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have won the race for one of English football’s most exciting young prospects.

Liverpool were aiming to bring Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic to Anfield in the summer, according to AS, but the La Liga giant is currently holding talks with the 29-year-old Croatian about extending his contract.
Klopp will also be readying himself for the departure of Simon Mignolet, the 30-year-old goalkeeper, after he was dropped at Liverpool in favor of Loris Karius. According to Derniere Heure, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing the Belgian goalkeeper.
And the bad news doesn’t stop at Anfield. According to the Daily Express, the agent of Emre Can has blocked all negotiations regarding the midfielders future at the club. Can has said he doesn’t even know where he will end up next season, but Juventus are believed to be keen.
In North London, Tottenham have won the race to sign Fulham’s highly-rated left-back Ryan Sessegnon, with the 17-year-old favoring a move to White Hart Lane, according to the Daily Mirror. Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea were believed to have been among the clubs interested in signing him.
Iker Casillas was in England on Tuesday for Porto’s Champions League clash with Liverpool, and he may end up finishing his career there. According to the Newcastle Chronicle, the former Real Madrid goalkeeper, now 36, is interested in a move to Newcastle United in the summer.
And finally, Manchester United are looking to prevent Anthony Martial from leaving Old Trafford by entering into fresh talks over a new contract for the 22-year-old French forward, according to ESPN.
