While Meghan Markle might be busily preparing to marry into the British Royal Family, fans are getting ready to say goodbye to the character she plays in US drama Suits.

Series seven, which will be the actress’ last, is currently on its mid-season break but returns to Netflix for its final run of episodes later this month.

The new trailer sees Markle’s character Rachel Zane and love interest Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams) declaring their love for one another.

It also teases the pair’s exit, with Ross saying: “You want to move in together?” and Zane telling him: “You are my future” and “It’ll be the adventure of a lifetime”.

Zane’s storyline even mirrors that of Markle’s, with Ross appearing to propose at the start of the clip with the declaration: “I have wanted to marry you from the second I met you.”

Soon after Markle became engaged to marry Prince Harry in November 2017, it was announced that she would not reprise her role in Suits.

Producers announced earlier this year that Katherine Heigl would join the cast to fill the gap left by Markle, as Samantha Wheeler, a new partner at law firm Pearson Specter Litt.

Markle will tie the knot with Prince Harry at Windsor Castle on May 19.

Suits arrives on Netflix on March 29.
