Amy Schumer talks life as a new mom and says she has sex with husband ‘because they have to’
During a recent podcast appearance, comedian Amy Schumer opened up about having sex with her husband after giving birth to their son Gene, 1.
While appearing on the What To Expect podcast, she spoke about her husband, Chris Fischer, and their post-partum sex life after baby Gene was born in May of 2019.
She said, "You can’t have sex for like six weeks, you know? I was hoping it was going to be longer than that because they just like sliced my FUPA open."

Schumer, 39, went on to joke, "I’m not like dying to, you know, get pounded from behind, thank you very much. So I was very down to wait the six weeks and then, and then it was nice."
But she clarified that they do continue to have sex once weekly so that they don't feel like they're simply roommates. The Trainwreck star said, "We're really good about having sex once a week. We just keep it going because you have to, otherwise you're just like roommates, and then it’s weird that you're having sex."
They even plan the act beforehand as a guarantee. She explained they'll say, "'Let's have sex tomorrow or Tuesday. That'll be a good day.' And then we do it and we go, 'That’s great. We should do that more,' but we still just do it once a week."

She previously opened up about having IVF and even gave out her phone number so people could ask her questions about the process.

On the podcast she said, "We got some embryos and I went through IVF and we got one normal one and two mosaics. We're thinking seriously about taking the surrogacy route. COVID-19 kind of put everything on hold, but of course we do want more. I hope that's in the cards for us."
