Anais Gallagher shames her mum Meg Mathews for flaunting £120 towel

Teenager Anais Gallagher has hilariously called out her mum Meg Mathews for ostentatiously flaunting a £120 designer towel in front of a charity poster.

“Finished at last packing presents, Physio, homing dogs , and now coco the best massage #missioni towels ….. spot Oscar sleeps between my legs for the whole time ……” trilled Meg, in what’s possibly a contender for the smuggest Instagram update of all time.

Alongside the caption was a photo of a naked Meg getting a rather nice pre-Chrimbo massage – but it was the poster for charity Unicef in the background that stole most of the attention.

“£3 could help buy a blanket” it read, asking people to donate cash to an appeal for wartorn Syria by text message.

Meg’s daughter Anais, 16, was quick to point out the disparity between the poster and said swanky £120 Missoni towel, typing: “The irony of the ad behind x”

Anais wasn’t the only one to notice. “Text: blanket!” wrote one of her followers, while another added: “Oh the irony!”

Still, kudos to Meg for turning the whole silly affair into a fundraising opportunity. “Hope everyone is texting blanket to give £3 as its got lots of attention,” she wrote later.

Anais is Meg’s only daughter with Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher, who she divorced in 2001 when Anais was just one.

The 16-year-old has turned her hand to modelling, and has already appeared on the cover of fashion bibles Wonderland and L’Officiel.
