Yahoo News Andor season 2 confirms release date
Andor season 2 has confirmed its release date on Disney+.
According to Variety, the Star Wars series, which revolves around Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), is set to return to the streaming service on April 22, 2025.
The first season of Andor follows a year in the life of the titular character, as he evolves from a small-time criminal and prepares to join the fight against the Galactic Empire.

The spin-off, created by Tony Gilroy, chronicles the events leading up to the 2016 Rogue One movie, with the second season taking place over four years.
Season 2 will have 12 episodes, split into three-episode pods. Each pod will cover a few consecutive days in each year, approaching the events of Rogue One.
"If you know your ending, it really helps," Gilroy said while discussing season 2 at a fan convention. "We know exactly where we're going. You know what you have to deliver emotionally and what the story has to do. It's a decision borne of survival, but it's good for us creatively."
The upcoming season will see the return of Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn), Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker), Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) and Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård).

Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Faye Marsay and Varada Sethu will also be reprising their roles.
Andor explores new areas of the Star Wars universe, including the lives of the lesser-known characters within the franchise. Speaking about the decision to focus on "real people", Gilroy explained: "They've made all this IP about the royal family, in essence.
"It's been great. But there's a billion, billion, billion other beings in the galaxy. There's plumbers and cosmeticians. Journalists! What are their lives like?
He added: "The revolution is affecting them just as much as anybody else. Why not use the Star Wars canon as a host organism for absolutely realistic, passionate, dramatic storytelling?"
Andor season 2 will come to Disney+ on April 22, 2025.
