John Hillcoat is reportedly set to direct an episode of Black Mirror starring Andrea Riseborough.

According to The Tracking Board, the Triple 9 director is in talks to make an episode known only as 'Crocodile' when the show makes its return to Netflix.

Plot details about the episode are still under wraps, but it is believed to feature two female protagonists, with Riseborough in talks for one of the roles.

After two seasons on Channel 4, Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror dropped its season 3 episodes on Netflix back in October, and season 4 is thought to be following suit.

The dystopian series explores a vast array of genres and has attracted big name stars such as Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve and Gugu Mbatha-Raw to star, which should help convince Riseborough to climb aboard.

She can next be seen in in tennis movie Battle of the Sexes, the indie thriller Nancy, KKK drama Burden, and on Netflix's Bloodline.

Hillcoat is no small name himself, having followed his acclaimed debut The Proposition with the film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road, starring Viggo Mortensen.

Black Mirror streams on Netflix.
