Big Brother delivered a double shot of awful news to Sam Chaloner in Wednesday's highlight show.

Sam was unlucky enough to become the first victim of this week's triple eviction, but he won't actually be leaving the Big Brother House quite yet.

Instead, he'll will have to continue living with the other housemates until Emma Willis presents the week's live Channel 5 eviction special on Friday night (July 21). He even gets to nominate as usual this week!

This uncomfortable set of circumstances are the fallout of The Steal task, in which the house competed to win back the £20,000 removed from the winner's prize pot.

After two grueling days of challenges (including a painful bum waxing), Andrew emerged victorious in The Steal and earned the £18,900 accumulated accumulated throughout the task.

However, the win also gave Andrew the unfortunate responsibility to personal evict one of his fellow housemates. As we all saw in Wednesday's highlight show, he decided to send Sam packing.

And with this decision to kick Sam out, Andrew also won an additional £15,000 for being the last Second Chance Housemate standing (following Hurricane Sue and Simone's evictions last Friday).

"I think Sam might have possibly got it and put me out," Andrew admitted later on the other housemates. "I will gave him something though. Like £5k or something."

When news of the twist first broke earlier this week, devoted sleuths in Big Brother fandom thought they'd sussed out that Andrew's chosen evictee was Sam. Obviously, it turns out they were right on the money.

Two more will be leaving when Emma Willis presents 90 minutes of live Big Brother on Friday night on Channel 5, beginning at 10pm.

But first, you can catch the awkward fallout of Sam's eviction on Big Brother's next highlight show - airing on Thursday (July 20) at 10pm on Channel 5 followed by Rylan Clark-Neal with Big Brother's Bit on the Side at 11.05pm.
