Melody Sachs has spoken about the rage she felt after the presenter left her husband obscene voicemails during an on air prank with comedian Russell Brand back in 2008.

Melody told the Daily Mail that even eight years on she still regards the pair as ‘awful’ for leaving the actor the messages.

She told the Daily Mail: “It was horrific. My one sadness is that I never got to punch Jonathan Ross. I have had the most pathetic of letters from Russell Brand.”

“One day I’ll get my chance and I’ll be able to hit Jonathan Ross. I just missed it one night. Those two, Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross, are absolutely awful.”

The then Radio 2 hosts left Andrew lewd voicemails alluding to the fact that Russell had slept with his granddaughter, Georgina Baillie, a burlesque dancer.

Melody mentioned this in her interview, saying how Russell also sent her his phone number to try and apologise for the prank.

“Russell Brand sent me a three-page letter with his telephone number and his email to get in touch with him and this and that – Jesus, you’ve got to be joking. He was the one who was seeing my granddaughter, that’s how it all started, she told him who her grandfather was,” she said.
