Andy Murray and Bob MacIntyre to form Scottish dream team partnership for BMW PGA Pro Am
Andy Murray will team up with fellow Scot Bob MacIntyre for next's BMW ProAm tournament at Wentworth.
The Scottish tennis legend retired in the summer after bowing out of the men's doubles at the Olympics in Paris alongside partner Dan Evans. Since then, the pair have been hitting the fairways on the course in their downtime, and now Murray is set to mix it with the pros and will play with compatriot and Ryder Cup star MacIntyre at the event, which runs from 17 Sep to 22 Sep at the Surrey course.
Scottish Open champion MacIntyre was clearly buzzing when Murray's participation was announced, posting the tournament's official announcement with the caption "new balls please" and several Scotland flag emojis, tagging Murray. Now they are set to form a Scottish dream team at the star-studded event, which will also include Spiderman star Tom Holland and Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

MacIntyre said: "Andy is a hero to so many people in Scotland – and across the world – and it’s pretty exciting to be playing alongside him in his BMW PGA Championship debut. He’s been absolutely dedicated to tennis during his incredible career, but it looks like he’s been playing plenty of golf since his retirement, so I’m looking forward to seeing if all that practice has paid off!”
