Angela Simpson: CCTV released as search continues for missing 50-year-old last seen in Middlesbrough

Police have released fresh CCTV of missing woman Angela Simpson who disappeared over the weekend.

In the footage, Angela is seen walking along Kildwick Grove in Middlesbrough at approximately 6.20pm on Sunday, September 22. She then continues left onto Penrith Road, right onto Sandringham Road and is last seen approaching the junction with Overdale Road.

This is the last confirmed sighting of the 50-year-old as officers continue their search for her. She is described as 5’8” tall, of a slim build with brown hair and was last seen wearing a pink jacket , white leggings, and white and pink trainers.

Police are again appealing to members of the public to come forward if they think they may have seen Angela, as they grow increasingly concerned for her welfare. They are also asking people to check private CCTV and dash cam footage for any possible sightings as well as checking sheds and outbuildings.

Officers and colleagues from partner agencies are carrying out searches in the Ormesby area, near to where Angela was last seen.

Detective Inspector Dan Cook said: “As each day goes by, we grow increasingly concerned for Angela’s welfare. Angela requires medication which she does not have with her, and it is out of character for her not to be in touch with family members for this length of time. The footage we have released is the last known sighting that we have of her.

“I also want to appeal directly to Angela to please contact someone, or our officers, to let us know where you are and that you are safe and well. I continue to ask members of the public to check CCTV and dash cam footage for any sightings of Angela in the area of Overdale Road from Sunday 22 September and urge anyone with information to contact Cleveland Police as a matter of urgency.”

Information can be provided to Cleveland Police by calling 101 and quoting reference number 183749.
