Anne Hathaway's behind the scenes The Witches pictures are getting us into the Halloween spirit

From Good Housekeeping

In case you missed it, a reboot of Roald Dahl's classic tale The Witches is coming soon, featuring an all star cast including Octavia Spencer, Chris Rock and Anne Hathaway.

The dark and fantastical children's story, which was previously made into a movie in 1990, is all about a group of witches masquerading as humans, who hate children and want to exterminate them. One boy, Luke, and his grandmother must find a way to stop the witches, led by the Grand High Witch (Hathaway in the 2020 reimagining).

The movie is set to release internationally at the end of this month, and in the meantime, Anne is getting us well into the Halloween spirit by sharing behind the scenes photos and videos.

First, she shared a snap of herself in character as the Grand High Witch when she's appearing as human, complete with dark, vampy makeup and a blonde bouffant hair style.

"Resting witch face. #TheWitchesMovie," Anne captioned the selfie.

"Everyone: It’s magic!
Me:" she wrote.
