You'd be forgiven for thinking that Batman: Arkham Knight was the last main game in its Rocksteady and Warner Bros-developed series, but it looks like that's no longer the case.

Because IGN France has tweeted a mysterious save the date teaser, with rumours of a Batman: Arkham Origins follow-up gaining serious traction.

The teaser - which tells us to keep March 8 in mind - is undeniably reminiscent of earlier Batman: Arkham promotional material, so yes, you could say we're excited.

It was initially rumoured that WB Montreal was working on a Suicide Squad video game, but Kotaku reported back in December that the idea had been shelved in favour of a new Batman instalment.

Instead, it's believed the studio's next development will focus on the story of Damian Wayne, son of Bruce and the current Robin in the comics.

Tara Strong, who took over from Arleen Sorkin as the voice of Harley Quinn in the games, recently spoke to Digital Spy about last year's voice actors' strike.

Explaining why the strike was important to her and other actors, she said: "We have all had years of training and worked extremely hard to get where we are and we love every role we book.

"We don't say, 'Oh, it's JUST a video game so I won't act to my full potential'. Voice acting can be very taxing: a session is four hours."
