A BANK branch in Poole is set to close its doors for good next year.

The Lloyds bank located at 300 Ashley Road, Parkstone, will shut on November 13, 2024.

According to a branch review, Lloyds said a total of 244 customers used the branch regularly in the 12 months to July 2023.

It says its customers will be able to use their nearest alternative branches at 45 to 47 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth and 101 High Street in Poole.

Lloyds said: "Following an in-depth review, this branch will close on 13 November 2024.”

“The world is becoming more digital than ever before and more of our customers are doing their everyday banking online.

“With more customers banking digitally, we've seen a fall in branch visits. Because of this, we've decided to close this branch.”

It comes as Lloyds Banking Group announced plans to close 45 branches across the Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland networks.

The group is closing 22 Halifax branches, 19 Lloyds branches and four in the Bank of Scotland business across the country

The latest closures take the total number of high street branches shut across the sector to 623 so far this year..

Lymington’s Halifax situated at 82 High Street will close on March 11, 2024.
