Another fallen tree blocks this key North Staffordshire road
Another tree has come down in North Staffordshire after a night of wintry weather. Motorists claim police are at the scene in Kidsgrove where they are directing traffic around it.
The tree has fallen on Liverpool Road heading into Kidsgrove. It's the latest incident on the roads of North Staffordshire today after a night of heavy snow and low temperatures.
StokeonTrentLive has reported how trees had come down on Lightwood Road in Lightwood earlier this morning and also on Bemersley Road in Bemersley Green. Meanwhile Moorland Road in Burslem has had to be shut due to a burst water pipe with engineers at the scene.

Today and Staffordshire County Council has confirmed its 38 gritters clocked up around 1,600 miles in an effort to keep the area moving. In Kidsgrove and locals say police have put cones out around the fallen tree and are directing drivers around it.
