A new Greggs will be opening within Bristol in “the next week”. The new branch of the popular bakery chain will be located at Broadmead, to the right of the Sparks department store.

It would be the sixth Greggs to be located within Broadmead alone. Currently branches are located at 31 Horsefair, 110 Horsefair (opposite Cabot Circus), 87 Broadmead and within the Galleries and Primark.

Greggs confirmed that the new branch, which will be open in time for the festive season, will be opening within the next week. It is unclear whether any current branches would be closing, considering the impending closure and demolition of the Galleries, which could close for the final time in 2025.

A Greggs spokesperson said: “Greggs is due to open a new shop in Broadmead within the next week. We can share further information over the next few days.”

Broadmead is currently hosting the Bristol Christmas Market as the city welcomes in the Christmas period. It will soon be joined by the Christmas Village, which will open at Castle Park on December 5, and offer attractions, a roller rink and a curling rink.
