Ant & Dec Saturday Night Takeaway will be back on screens in February, ITV have confirmed.

The last series aired in 2018, with Ant McPartlin missing the last two episodes of the series as he took time away from work after an arrest for drink-driving.

ITV have teased the pair's comeback with a trailer starring the Geordie presenters sitting in a boardroom discussing plans for the show.

They then break out into song and running through the programme's famous segments such as Grab the Ads and Ant vs Dec.

After McPartlin was involved in the car accident in March 2018, an episode of Saturday Night Takeaway due to air that weekend was cancelled.

The star subsequently stepped down from his TV commitments, with a spokesperson stating at the time that he was "going back to treatment".

The last two episodes of the series were hosted solely by Declan Donnelly. McPartlin was fined £86,000 and given a 20 month driving ban following his appearance at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court in April 2018.

He then did not return to his TV work until the filming of the Britain's Got Talent auditions in January 2019.

The former Byker Grove star also made a comeback on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in the winter, having been replaced by Holly Willoughby in 2018.

McPartlin and Donnelly had another victory at the National Television Awards on Tuesday as they picked up the gong for Best Presenter for the 19th year in a row.

Although, McPartlin confessed they always have their doubts about winning.

He shared in their acceptance speech: "On the way in we had our chat about this being the year we don't win. It's been a great run, we're so lucky to do what we do. Then you go and do this again.

"Thank you. We are more grateful and humble as the years go on."
