Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have confirmed they will reunite with Cat Deeley for a revival of their SM:TV 'Chums' skit.

The trio will revisit the popular sketch together on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway later this month during Deeley's live appearance, the presenting pair have announced.

The three worked together on the Saturday morning TV show from 1998 to 2001 with the Friends-inspired sketch being one of their many comedy segments.

Parodying the US sitcom, it saw Donnelly and Deeley's characters romantically involved, while McPartlin would wind up in a tricky situation. A celebrity guest would usually make a cameo with the skit ending in a freeze frame.

Confirming the news on Thursday afternoon, a message from Geordie duo's Twitter account read: "Tis true. The ‘Chums’ will revisit the flat 20 years since the last time! I wonder what’s happened to them since...."

The revival will come during The End of the Show Show during the episode set to air next weekend, Saturday 20 March.

Deeley will also be pranked by her former co-stars in the show's Undercover segment, Radio Times reports.

It comes as the three had a special SM:TV reunion at the end of last year in ITV documentary The Story of SM:TV Live.

They took a trip down memory lane as they recalled fronting the children's show while remembering its most iconic bits like Wonkey Donkey and Dec Says.
