The Missing Crown Jewels was back on tonight's (March 25) Saturday Night Takeaway after a week away, and it seems that people really missed the Ant & Dec's royal-themed sketch.

Fans had apparently been craving their latest skit series so much after last week's absence that they just had to bring it all back. We certainly aren't complaining!

The last time we saw the pair, they were trapped by the villainous and mysterious Maskface under a deadly laser.

However, Maskface does what any slightly incompetent villain does – leave them to be killed by the laser without anticipating a potential escape.

Thinking that they might be about to die, the pair go through their bucket list, with Dec admitting that he wished he'd done Strictly. Well, wouldn't we all?

Luckily, his short stature meant he avoided the laser's beam by a whisker, and came to the realisation that they needed a "enormous shiny surface" to deflect the beam.

And so clearly only one thing could provide the sufficient leverage to get them out of the sticky situation – Ant's shiny forehead.

Yet the national treasures at The Honoured HQ weren't so lucky, as Maskface managed to get to Joanna Lumley and Co before the duo could, who managed to watch on as Maskface threatened Joanna.

"Put your hands in the air," Maskface told Joanna, "and wave them just like you don't care."

Joanna then had to hand over the security pass to the throne room for Maskface's master plan to rule the UK.

However, she asks the question we are all asking: "Just tell me one thing. Who the hell are you?"

The villain then started to remove the mask, and although Ant nearly gives us all the answer, Dec declared: "Don't tell everybody, it's this week's cliffhanger!"

Argh, you guys! Don't leave us hanging like that.

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway airs on ITV.
