Ant & Dec Throw Their Weight Behind Great British Bake Off's Move To Channel 4

The ‘New’ Great British Bake Off might be several months away from airing, but that hasn’t stopped pretty much EVERYONE from having an opinion on it.

Showbiz stalwarts Ant and Dec have come out as big fans of the show – and have thrown their weight behind it’s move to Channel 4 – predicting it’ll be a hit.

However, Ant admitted that it won’t reach the dizzying heights it achieved on the BBC.

Speaking to The Mirror, Ant commented: “Bake Off will be a hit in Channel 4 terms but I don’t think it will ever reach the heights it has on the BBC just because it won’t.

“I love the show I am a big fan of the show, I think it is great.”
Dec said that “It will be a different kind of show, there is a huge curiosity factor.

“Sandi and Noel are an intriguing combination as hosts which is what I think Channel 4 set out to do. I will certainly watch but I am not as big a fan as Ant.”

The pair are busy putting the final touches to the series finale of Saturday Night Takeaway at Disneyland Florida this weekend.

Ant, Dec and co-host Scarlett Moffat have been busy enjoying The Magic Kingdom as well as getting everything ready for tonight’s live show.

Dec said: “It has been a few years in the making but we got the go-ahead last summer.

“I am pinching myself I am here and we are still doing it. It has been an ambition to come to Disney World but we didn’t know if we could pull it off. It’s a dream destination for so many people.

It is known as the happiest place on earth and it kinda is.”

Ant added: “The big live finale, the End Of The Show Show is huge, we’ve had rehearsals all week.

“We had one rehearsal in the biggest ballroom I have ever seen. It has got everything and pretty awesome.”
