Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway has transported itself to a typical Saturday morning in the late '90s, as the show gets ready to host its very own SM:TV Live reunion – complete with Cat Deeley.

SM:TV fans – and viewers of a certain generation – will be treated to a special episode of the show's parody of Friends, Chums, as well as a performance from Ant, Dec, and Cat for The End of the Show Show.

Offering fans a behind-the-scenes peek at what the trio have been up to, Ant & Dec posted a photo from rehearsals on Instagram. "We'll be #Chums forever," they wrote, adding that it was "a blast to be back together with Cat Deeley".

Cat was clearly just as thrilled as Ant & Dec, as she shared another glimpse at what the gang had been up to. "Well that was fun!" she told fans in a separate post.

Digital Spy has long suspected that a Chums return was on the horizon, with Ant & Dec telling us earlier this year that they'd "been close" to organising an SM:TV Live reunion "a couple of times". "We're always talking to Cat anyway," they said.

"Yes, there's a possible plan afoot to do... I wasn't going to reveal that, but you've got it out of us!" Dec added. "But yeah, we might do something with Cat on Takeaway."

See, folks – you heard it here first. Our next prediction? The return of Little Ant & Dec.

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway continues tomorrow (March 20) on ITV.
