Ant and Dec are keen to return to Australia to film I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The presenting duo has hosted the survival competition series from the Australian jungle in October and November every year from the show's inception in 2002 until 2019. For the 2020 and 2021 editions, the production was moved to Gwrych Castle in Wales as a result of travel restrictions relating to the Covid-19 pandemic.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the duo stated that they want to go back to I'm a Celebrity's "spiritual home".

"If it has to be Wales for another series, we will do it in Wales, but we want to go back to Australia," Ant said, before Dec added, "Australia is the spiritual home of I'm a Celebrity and where it's been for 20 years, and four weeks there in the sun in October and November is great! We love it and we want to go back."

The Britain's Got Talent co-hosts were asked if they felt sad returning to the cold temperatures of winter in Wales for a second year, and Dec replied, "We weren't saddened but we were surprised. With Covid, there was no getting around it."

The childhood friends have presented the survival show together every year since 2002, with the exception of 2018, when Ant took time out to deal with personal issues. He was replaced by Holly Willoughby.
