Ant and Dec's I'm A Celebrity's announcement has fans 'convinced' star will quit ITV show

Ant and Dec have left I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here viewers 'convinced' that a star will quit the show after just a matter of days, after they went into camp to break some bad news at the end of Sunday's launch show.

The Geordie presenters have been with the hit ITV programme since its inception in the summer of 2002, when they were riding on the crest of the wave after the success of Pop Idol and are back Down Under for the new series, with the I'm A Celebrity 2024 line-up including stars like Coleen Rooney, GK Barry, Alan Halsall and Dean McCullough.

Millions of viewers tuned in to see the 10 new celebrity campmates in action for the first time at the weekend, when they were given a baptism of fire to life in the jungle, when they were pitted against each other in a frantic race to determine who would be the first Camp Leaders of the new series.

Social media icon and Loose Women's newest panellist GK looked to be fin ding things tough from the get go, letting out loud screams as she had to reach into a box of creepy crawlies to try find a key. And, unfortunately for her, her frightened outburst came just as the vote for the second Bushtucker Trial of 2024 opened.

I'm A Celebrity fans have a habit of voting for people they think will struggle and, when they entered camp in the closing minutes of Sunday's launch episode, Ant and Dec broke it to GK, host of hit podcast Saving Grace, that she had been chosen to do Vile Volcano, as a look of horror quickly spread across her face and she shouted: "I'm going to die!"

Seeing how distressed GK looked about having to do a trial, many viewers took to X concerned for her, but also predicting she could be the star who makes an early exit this year. One posted: "Guys please don’t vote gkbarry again for a trial because she looks like she wants to leave" as a second speculated: "First one to leave Gemma Collins style? GK Barry"
