Ant McPartlin has reportedly moved out of the rented property he lived in since splitting with Lisa Armstrong and into a new £4.5million mansion as he continues treatment following a drink-driving conviction.

Following his split from his wife of 11 years, McPartlin rented a house to stay in but has now reportedly moved into his own place, according to The Sun.

The publication claim that the TV star’s new pad costs around £12,000 a month and will “provide tranquillity” as he recovers from his battle with alcohol.

A source told them: “He needs somewhere quiet and private a bit out of the way to help him focus on his recovery.

“The new place is exactly that. It will help with his treatment and give him some space away from the limelight.”

Standard Online have contacted representatives for McPartin for comment.

The star has been in treatment following his readmission to rehab after a car crash in March and a drink-driving conviction.

After pleading guilty, McPartlin was given a fine of £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court in April.

The new reports come days after McPartlin posed for a picture with a fan alongside professional partner and best friend Declan Donnelly.

Both grinned in the photograph, taken by a fan, in what was reportedly the garden of a London hote l.

The fan, who posted the snap on Instagram, told the Standard she was “happy to meet them” and “have a brief friendly exchange”
