Ant McPartlin's wife Lisa Armstrong 'likes' tweet featuring estranged husband as Britain's Got Talent kicks off

Ant McPartlin’s estranged wife Lisa Armstrong has shown her determination to keep their divorce civil after ‘liking’ a post on social media showing him out in Blackpool.

The make-up artist ‘liked’ a photo from Britain’s Got Talent star David Walliams showing McPartlin alongside his best friend Declan Donnelly and judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell and Walliams himself.

The couple’s split was announced on Saturday with a spokesman for McPartlin confirming to the Standard that the speculation about a divorce was true.

They said: “Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.”

Armstrong is reportedly expected to work exclusively on spin-off show Britain’s Got More Talent, hosted by Stephen Mulhern, instead of the main show co-hosted by McPartlin when it returns to TV later this year.

The make-up artist broke her Twitter silence a few days ago when she shared a picture of the couple’s dog Hurley as well as ‘liking’ supportive tweets from other users.

The TV presenter is reportedly set to halve his fortune and pay Armstrong around £31 million in order to keep their divorce out of the courts and as amicable as possible.

However, it has also been reported that the pair will have to battle it out over custody of their beloved pet.

The five-year-old Labrador is close to both of them, with the pooch having been granted special dispensation to visit McPartlin in rehab last year.
