The TV presenter, who spent the majority of 2018 out of the public eye following his arrest for drink driving, took to his official Twitter account – which he shares with best friend and co-host Dec Donnelly – to wish friend Daniel Mays good luck with his new project.
“Best of luck with the movie Kidda! Can’t wait to see it A,” McPartlin wrote as Mays told his fans and followers that his new film Fisherman’s Friend had received good reviews.
Showing his gratitude towards Ant for his kind message, Mays responded: “Cheers Ant! Much appreciated mate. Can’t tell you how fantastic it is to see you healthy, happy and back on the box where you belong.”
“You’re pure class my friend who’s been much missed! Best Wishes Dan X,” he added.

Fans were ecstatic to see the interaction from McPartlin with many expressing how excited they are to see the star back on TV.
McPartlin’s message to Mays comes after I’m A Celeb bosses revealed that they were excited to see the TV host back with Donnelly in the Australian outback.
Speaking during a BAFTA masterclass, creative director Richard Cowles commented: “We love what Holly did, but we’re very much looking forward to Ant coming back and I think it’s going to be an amazing series.
“I think the job is for us to create a series and cast where everyone wants to come back and watch more, so I’m not worried..I’m looking forward to seeing Ant and Dec back again.”
Holly Willoughby, who stood in for McPartlin during the 2018 series, had previously made it clear that she was only keeping his seat warm and had no intentions of replacing him full time.
