Ant McPartlin could be back on screens sooner than we thought.

The TV star revealed he was taking a year off work to attend to issues surrounding addiction, after he was convicted of drink driving earlier this year.

As a result, he was absent from his usual gig on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here with long-time presenting partner Declan Donnelly, with This Morning Holly Willoughby drafted in to replace him.

But it’s now claimed that he’ll be back on screens for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent, which begins filming next month.

An insider told The Daily Mirror: “Ant has been working with ITV bosses to get a date in the diary for his return.

“He’ll be back filming with Dec and Stephen Mulhern for BGT in mid-January – it’s sure to be an emotional reunion for them all.”

It would be the first time that the pair have appeared on TV together since April.

McPartlin was involved in a three car crash in March this year, and announced his departure from TV presenting for a year soon after.

Yahoo UK has contacted ITV for comment.
