Anthony Gordon, Jarrad Branthwaite - Liverpool next transfer tipped as Giorgi Mamardashvili moves closer

Liverpool are being tipped to sign several players before the summer transfer window closes. The Reds are yet to make their first new addition to their squad since the window opened back in June but time is running out for that to change.

Premier League clubs have until August 30 to complete their business, meaning Liverpool do not have much time remaining. It was expected that Martin Zubimendi would be the first signing of the Arne Slot era, but the midfielder opted to remain at Real Sociedad instead.

Now reports are speculating that Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili could be Liverpool's first signing of the summer. It has been widely reported that a deal is close to being agreed for Mamardashvili to sign for the Reds.

It has been suggested that the deal will be worth €35million (£30million), which is close to Mamardashvili being a new Liverpool player. However, reports have also said the 23-year-old would spend the season on loan at Valencia.

Even though it seems that Mamardashvili could be the first Liverpool signing of the summer, more could walk through the door. Sky Bet have compiled odds on who could move to Anfield before the transfer window closes next Friday.

Liverpool have been mentioned as the 'favourite' to sign Ollie Watkins in the latest betting. However, the striker signed a new contract with Aston Villa last October and the Reds already have Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota so a move before the window closes seems somewhat unlikely.

Liverpool were tentatively linked with signing Bryan Mbeumo earlier in the year but the rumours have quietened down significantly in recent months. Brentford would likely demand a sizable fee to let one of their star forwards leave the club this summer.
