Anthony Joshua has slumped down the prestigious Ring Magazines' heavyweight rankings in the aftermath of his devastating loss to Daniel Dubois.

In his bid to become a three time world champion, AJ was blasted out by his younger rival, failing to get up from a huge right hand in the fifth round after previously being dropped four times in front of 96,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. After tasting defeat for the fourth time in his boxing career, the 34-year-old has fell to seventh place in the Ring Magazine's - which was first launched in 1992 - rankings and faces an uphill battle to reclaim his former glory.

The victorious Dubois made the first defence of his new IBF world title, and as a result has sharply risen up the rankings, coming in behind unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and fellow Brit Tyson Fury. Usyk and Fury do battle for a second time in a huge showdown in Saudi Arabia on December 21, with the Gypsy King hoping to avenge the first defeat of his professional career.

Dubois could yet face Joshua in a rematch of his own in 2025 but may opt to sit tight in order to face the winner of Usyk - who he was beaten by last year - and Fury down the line. Also flying high in the Ring Magazine's latest rankings are former WBO world champion Joseph Parker and Congolese heavy hitter Martin Bakole - who is trained by Scottish coach Billy Nelson.
