Anthony Martial has suggested he will stay at Manchester United following the club’s second Premier League win of the season.

Tottenham, who were interested in Martial prior to his move to Manchester, have been linked with the striker again this summer after struggling to cement his place in the side last season.

But the 21-year-old has made a telling impact from the bench in the club’s opening matches of the season.

Martial scored one and supplied an assist in their 4-0 victory over West Ham at Old Trafford, before coming off the bench to score away to Swansea City in a win of the same goal margin.

And Martial posted a picture on his Instagram account after the match that suggested his future remains in Manchester.

Speaking ahead of that match, manager Jose Mourinho played down suggestions the France international could be sold, saying he expected more to come from the player this season.

"I have faith in him," Mourinho told reporters. "Probably the player that I was looking for was not a pure winger because I have pure wingers.

"Probably the player I was looking for is a player that allows me to play with three in the back and do the wing-back.

"Because as a pure attacking player, Anthony is a good player.

"I believe he's one of the players that is going to have a better season this season than the previous season. I believe.

"I look at some of my players and I am sure that some of them will be better this season than they were last season, and Anthony is that for sure."
