Anton Du Beke issues four-word response as he shuts down Strictly Come Dancing controversry
Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke brushed off recent controversies circulating the show, confidently telling Loose Women viewers: "It will feel magnificent."
Appearing on ITV's popular daytime chat show alongside panel members including Kaye Adams and Frankie Bridge, Anton, 58, was questioned about the drama surrounding the show, particularly after actress Amanda Abbington's revelations regarding professional dancer Giovanni Pernice.
During the conversation, Kaye probed, saying: "We can't ignore it, Anton." Quick to maintain the focus on Strictly's brighter side, he responded: "What, Strictly? No you can't ignore Strictly."
Undeterred, Kaye brought attention back to the concerns: "No no, we can't ignore the fact that it's had its troubles this year so is it going to feel different?" reports WalesOnline.

Anton, a member of the Strictly family since its inception in 2004, put a stop to speculation about any negative impact these controversies might have on the show. He declared assuredly: "No, no it will feel magnificent and it won't feel different at all. It's going to be brilliant. We have a whole new cast."
Drawing on Kaye's own experiences with Strictly, having danced with professional Kai Waddington, Anton highlighted the excitement involved with participating in the competition: "You know what it's like. You turn up for the launch shoot, then you want to tell everyone and then you get measured up for a few frocks and then suddenly you are in the studio meeting your partner for the first time."
"Then you go off, that's it you don't see anything else because it's just focusing on the first show and the nerves build up but it's so exciting."
Anton's remarks come as the BBC dance programme is scrutinised following claims of misconduct from past participants, including actress Amanda Abbington and reality star Zara McDermott, directed at some of the pro dancers.
In response, the show's executives have introduced additional protective measures for the upcoming 20th series, which is about to kick off shortly.
New members of the production team will be accompanying the celebrity contestants throughout practice sessions, ensuring they are present at all times to watch for any untoward behaviour.
